Do you have a pet?  Dog, Cat, Chicken, Goat, Rat, Snake, or something odd, strange or curious??  Bring it to the Festival Pet Show on Saturday, June 25th at 3:00 on Canal Street.  The show is being sponsored by Bliss Veterinary Service.

Cy Young Days got talent!!
 Do you sing, dance, play an instrument, or have a band?  Are you a ventriloquist, comedian, or have other unique talents (G rated only)!!
Cy Young Days Festival will hold the annual Talent Show on Sunday June 26st at 3:00.  The categories this year have been expanded to 3, Ages 3-5, 6-12 and 13 to Adult.
Cash Prizes will be awarded, so if you are interested and would like to pre register, call Dora Cole at 740 202-2620.


The Annual Cy Young Days Festival Parade will be held Saturday June 25, 2016 at 6:00 PM, with line-up beginning at 5 and we would like to invite you to participate.  Our Grand Parade Marshall will be Cy Young Award winner, Doug Drabek.  Please consider decorating your unit with a baseball theme because the judges will be looking for this theme when making their decisions. The winners will be selected before the Parade moves and awards will be presented on Main St. during the Parade.
 $20 cash prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
Best Decorated Wagon                                    Best Appearing Float
Most Team Spirit                                              Best Decorated Bicycle
Best Appearing Antique or Classic Vehicle       Best Decorated Team Truck
Best Appearing Walking Unit                            Best Equestrian Unit

The Festival Parade will start on Oak Street in the High School area.  It will go North on River to Church St.  It will travel East on Church to College Street and North on College to Main Street.  They will then go West on Main to Goodrich where they can disband.  For more information or to enter the parade, contact Debbie Rehard at 740 492-0326.

In all cases the Judge’s choices are final!  Only pre registered units will be eligible for prizes. 


On the unlikely chance that foul weather will hit the area during our upcoming Festival, we have made some totally unneeded plans.

Entertainment, Pet Show and the Talent Show will move to the Laborers Local Hall at 150 River St.

 Car Show is Rain or Shine.

A new event this year is the Long Toss competition.  Registration is from 12:00 to 12:45.  Competition starts at 1:00. This event is for a team of 2, one to throw and one to catch.  They will throw to their catcher, who must catch the ball and the length of the throw will be increased with each successfully completed pitch and catch.  Girls will throw softballs, boys will throw baseballs. 
Age Groups:
  7 – 9
10 - 12
13 – 16
17 and over

Cash Prizes for winning team in each age category. 

We are taking reservations for our luncheon with Doug Drabek on Saturday, June 25th at 12:30. Cost is $20.00 for Adults and $10.00 for 11 and under. You can reserve your meals by email, or calling Gary or Janet @ 740 498-4545.

12:30 PM  Luncheon with Doug Drabek and the Queen's Luncheon at the Laborer's Local Hall at the corner of Main & River Streets.  Mr Drabek will be available after the luncheon for autographs and pictures.
 1:30 - 2 PM Approx.  Queens will go to Museum for program.
