Mission and Purpose Statement
Our festival honors Cy Young and the game he loved. The Cy Young Days Festival Committee is committed to promoting the Village of Newcomerstown, our youth, and Cy Young through fun family oriented activities.
The festival, in partnership with Newcomerstown Chamber of Commerce, provides an environment for all individuals, organizations and athletic teams, with a focus on youth baseball and softball, to come together and advance their groups; growth and success.

Artists of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to enter the 2018 Cy Young Days Festival Art Contest. Submit your artwork to be considered for use as "The Official 2018 Cy Young Days Festival logo.

Our next committee meeting will be February 26th. 2018 6:30 at Dick's Place in Newcomerstown. All are welcome to attend. We are always looking for volenteers willing to help.
Please join us for a roast beef dinner fundraiser March 4th. 11:45 a.m. to 2 pm. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Newcomerstown. Dinners include: roast beef, potato, green beans, roll, dessert. Dinner are $9.00 each Call to reserve - 740-498-4545 pay at the door. To-go meals available.
Excited to announce we will be partnering with Big Ideas Party Rental, LLC. of New Philadelphia in bringing bounce houses, inflatable slide, obstacle course, gladiator Joust, and laser tag to the 2018 festival.
Old Timers vintage base ball tournament will be back on Sunday of festival weekend at Cy Young Park with four teams coming to town. Canal Dover Redlegs, Mohican Rivermen, Whiskey Island Shamrocks and our local Newcomerstown Cyclones. Come journey back in time to a day when life was a little slower and gentleman dressed in wool caps, knickers and high stockings. This is a recreation of the way our national past time was played in the mid 1800's using the same rules and language of the era during the days of the Civil War.
Anyone interested in helping out this year with time, materials, ideas, suggestions, parade entries, vendors, entertainment etc... please feel free to contact a committee member and find out how to become a part of the festivities.
